  1. GOLDEN AXE II -- Genesis

  4. Extra Credits-
  5. To get extra continues in the arcade mode, after 
  6. switching on the game, press and hold buttons 
  7. A, B, and C down.  Hit START to go to the Options.
  8. While in options, release button A (keep pressing
  9. B & C) and select the options you want to play 
  10. with.  Next, exit the Options menu, still holding
  11. B & C.  Select either 1 or 2 players, and you 
  12. will now have 8 Continues instead of 3.
  13.  
  14. Extra Magic-
  15. You can only get this option for player 1 and you must 
  16. be using the SPECIAL magic option.  Upon hearing the
  17. music before the first BOSS (the Big Red Minotaur),
  18. hold down but do not release the C Button.  Defeat
  19. the Boss while holding C, and just as you see the 
  20. screen swirl in black, release C.  Now, while in 
  21. the special stage don't press any button or move at
  22. all.  If you were successful, when you start the
  23. next level, your character will cast a special 
  24. spell and your magic points will fill up to 255.

  26. Or, on level one, after you kill the boss, hold down
  27. the A button, but don't let go until level 2. 
  28. You can do this on any level with a "special stage"
