  1. MORTAL PONG v 0.4b beta

  3.  Don't ask why I made a pong game, I just felt like.
  4.  Plus, we needed something to test XBAND PC at work, so I wrote
  5.  this little gem. (This game works over the modem with XBAND PC,
  6.  or two people can play it together on one machine)
  7.  
  8.  Pretty simple, you try to keep the balls from going past ya.
  9.  Every time a ball passes by ya, you lose health (just like mortal
  10.  combat, get it!).  The balls come from the strange metal planetoid
  11.  in the middle of the screen.  The longer the game goes the more
  12.  balls that come flying out (unlike boring old normal pong).

  14.  Whoever wins gets to watch the other guy go up in flames! Great fun!

  16.  The controls are simple:

  18.       Player1: A - go up
  19.                B - go down
  20.  
  21.       Player2: UP ARROW - go up (of course)
  22.                DOWN ARROW - go down (duh!)
  23.  
  24.  You can put some "english" and speed on the ball if you "swipe" it
  25.  with the paddle, try it. (Also try Obnoxious mode, it's Obnoxious!)

  27.  Recommended Hardware:
  28.   A 386+ computer running DOS 3.3 or better.
  29.   A VGA card and monitor.
  30.   A sound blaster card or compatible is STRONGLY suggested!
  31.     (The setting from your BLASTER enviorment variable are used to set
  32.      up the sound card.)
