  1. NEW ENTRY QUICK HELP:
  2.  
  3.   When you first enter into
  4. the "NewFile" screen, the
  5. next file number will be in
  6. the FileNumber field. This
  7. is for reference only, and
  8. cannot be modified. Even if
  9. you do change it, the same
  10. number originally displayed
  11. will be used. Also, this
  12. file will be displayed. 
  13. From then on, you are on
  14. your own....

  16. 1: [SearchName]
  17. The first thing that you
  18. should do is enter in a 
  19. "SearchName". This name is
  20. to enable the program to
  21. find your entry VIA a unique
  22. name. Also note that it is 
  23. a priority field. That means
  24. that you cannot save your
  25. entry without filling in 
  26. this field.

  28. <all other fields can be
  29. left blank....if you want>
  30.  
  31. 2: [FileName]
  32. Next is the "FileName". This
  33. is your own personal name
  34. for your file. This is only
  35. required for the printing
  36. process. It will be used as
  37. your header name. It also
  38. gives you a rough idea what
  39. the heck the file is for.

  41. 3: [FileNumber]
  42. This field is generated by
  43. the program and cannot be
  44. changed at all. You can go
  45. into the field and amend the
  46. number, but the program will
  47. still save the original one
  48. generated

  51. 4: [DateEntered]
  52. This field has been left up
  53. to the user (you), so you
  54. can input the date any way
  55. you wish. Thereby creating
  56. a format that is pleasing
  57. to yourself. Therefore, no
  58. search can be effected VIA
  59. the date of entry.

  61. 5: [BriefDescription]
  62. Well, this field is not that
  63. brief. This is a complete
  64. "LOG" where you can enter
  65. a description (contents) of
  66. the file. This can be any
  67. length, but is advised that
  68. you do not make it to long.
  69.  
  70. 6: [SAVE BUTTON]
  71. The "save button" is just
  72. that. It will save your 
  73. entry to the "Filefinder",
  74. file & clear all the fields.
  75. The FileNumber field will
  76. display the next number in
  77. sequence.

  79. 7: [HELP BUTTON]
  80. The "help button" will
  81. display the main help file.

  83. 8: [EXIT BUTTON]
  84. The "exit button" will exit
  85. you back to the main menu.
  86. If the SearchName field is
  87. not nil (there is something
  88. in the field), then you will
  89. be prompted to save your
  90. entry (yes/no).

  92. 9: [CLEAR BUTTON]
  93. If you happen to make an
  94. eror on input....you do not
  95. have to manually delete each
  96. field. The "clear button"
  97. will blank out all of the
  98. fields except the quick help
  99. (this file) and the File
  100. Number.
