  26. |   Novell NetWare Version 3.1X are required.                                   
  27. |   Novell NetWare NWSAA Version 1.3.30C or above must be                       
  28. |   installed on the NetWare file server.  Communications

  35. |   A. The OS2 Workstation can be UPSTREAM (has the host                        
  36. |      connection) or DOWNSTREAM.  It can be the SNA Gateway                    
  37. |      or have LAN Network Manager installed.

  39. |3. 06/29/93 INSTALLING OVERVIEW FOR THE OS2 WORKSTATION                        
  40. |            NOT SNA GATEWAY OR LAN NETWORK MANAGER                             
  41. |                                                                               
  42. |   A. The OS2 Workstation can be UPSTREAM (has the host                        
  43. |      connection) or DOWNSTREAM.  It can be the SNA Gateway                    
  44. |      or have LAN Network Manager installed.                                   
  45. |                                                                               
  46. |   B. Refer to Information APAR II07093 for assistance                         
  47. |      installing the OS2 Workstation.  A successful                            
  48. |      install of the workstation will give a positive                          
  49. |      response to "L:" entered from the command line.                          
  50. |                                                                               
  51. |   C. FFST/2 (First Failure Support Technology) must be                        
  52. |      running in the OS2 workstation.  FFST/2 packages the                     
  53. |      alert in a format understood by Netview.                                 
  54. |                                                                               
  55. |   D. OS2 Service Point Application Router (RTR) and OS2                       
  56. |      Remote Operation Service (ROP) must be started if Run                    
  57. |      Commands (RUNCMD) are to be sent from Netview to the                     
  58. |      workstation.  Start the Router first and wait for the                    
  59. |      response.  They can be started by the ICON or by                         
  60. |      issuing "START RTR" or "START ROP" from the command                      
  61. |      line.

  63. |4. 06/29/93 INSTALLING OVERVIEW FOR THE NETWARE SERVER                         
  64. |                                                                               
  65. |   A. Install NetWare Version 3.1X Server code per Novell's                    
  66. |      NetWare Installation.  Install a NetWare workstation                     
  67. |      (can be DOS or OS2 for this purpose).  Login with this                   
  68. |      workstation as Supervisor to install NWSAA.  The                         
  69. |      NetWare for SAA Administration Guide will provide the                    
  70. |      needed information for this install.                                     
  71. |                                                                               
  72. |   B. If the NetWare Server is UPSTREAM (has host connection)                  
  73. |      a "Profile" will need to be defined.                                     
  74. |                                                                               
  75. |   C. The COMMEXEC will need to be loaded ("LOAD COMMEXEC")                    
  76. |      on the NetWare File Server.  If the Server is UPSTREAM                   
  77. |      the Profile will need to be loaded ("LOAD XXXXXXX").
