  1. Somebody who visited Santa Cruz on business every so often wanted to know
  2. where the interesting restaurants were; he couldn't find them.  Well, there
  3. aren't all that many.  A previous poster mentioned India Joze -- true.

  5. If you're talking interesting food from the culinary standpoint (and
  6. from the standpoint of a fairly thick wallet), he might also try Casablanca
  7. and the Sea Cloud (both on or near the wharf).  They're a cut above the
  8. usual.  Aragona's in Soquel is the best Italian restaurant I know of in the area
  9. (costs a bit much for my wallet, but the food's good.)  Golden Buddha, also
  10. in Soquel, is my favorite Chinese restaurant.  Some people also like 
  11. O'mei, on the west side of Santa Cruz
