- The Fullerton Haf Brau
-
- Located on State College Parkway, just south of Chapman,
- this is a fine restuarant for good family style eating.
- BUT THE BIG PLUS is that they brew their own beers!
-
- I stopped in for lunch and found the place quiet at 1:00,
- apparently the real business is dinner. The cabbage rolls were
- excellent, just like you expect your grandmother to make them.
- A lightly seasoned meat and rice, wrapped in well cook cabbage
- and covered with with a mild saurkraut. Add to this cook and crisp
- mixed vegetables and seasoned rice and you have a meal worth
- a beer, for 6.95.
-
- Now the beer is worth it alone. 6 brews you can try as samplers.
- The Pilsner and Larger were nothing to write about, but the
- Wiesen "wheat" beer, with a lemon twist, sends Corona back
- south of the border. I soaked up the "Earl's Ale", a full bodied,
- smooth and gentle brew, lightly sweet and bitter, just perfect
- for a dark beer lover. Finally, the Boch beer was rich and creamy.
- A beer for when you want to drink your meal, this could be considered
- a good chaser for Guiness.
-
- My courteous and lovable waitress, Ann, kept the mood light and even
- facilitated with my connecting a laptop to the payphone. Like few
- other sites, their phones have a pair of grounded plugs beneath them.
- (Though this message is being sent from L.A.)
-
- Enjoy the meal!
