- FLAGS OF THE WORLD - by - RAB DINGWALL
-
- Written 1993 using AMOS
-
- and up-dated 1996 with AMOS-PRO
- (every time they have a revolution they change the bloody flag!)
-
- This is my first attempt at writing what I hope is a reasonable
- educational program but I do know there isn't much in the way of
- gameplay.
-
- The main objective was to teach myself to use AMOS. I'm sure there
- are many of you who could do better and if anyone does recode it
- I'd be grateful for a copy.
-
- As I haven't got an Amos compiler the file is quite large and I regret
- that in it's present form
-
- ******* IT WON'T RUN ON A 1Mb MACHINE *****
-
- Sorry, but maybe those good Guys at
- AMIGA FORMAT will have fixed that if they feel its worthy of inclusion
- on the next compilation of Readers Stuff.
-
- I must also apologise to any national whose flag I haven't quite got
- correct, my reference books may be out of date and some of the newer
- or should I say resurrected Eastern Block States are not yet well known.
-
- Apologies especially to those countries with script on their flag..
- it's not easy copying it on this scale and I hope my attempts do not
- cause offence. Some were so intricate I didn't even try.
-
- Improvements
- ------------
-
- Would like to animate the flags
-
- Need some way of compacting the data
-
- TROUBLE is... I just don't have the time to deepen my knowledge
- and I'll never get round to doing more.
-
- The Game
- --------
- It's quite simple consisting of a multiple choice answer but I've
- tried to ensure that the children...Not You...don't get too easy a
- time as they can only see a very small number of flags each time
- they load up.
-
- I wouldn't have the nerve to call this Shareware or any other kind
- of ware ...do what you like with it...Just don't tell me its complete
- crap!
-
- Only those who genuinely want to offer CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions
- should send me a disc with their "improvements".You can contact me

- No Update will be released...by me anyway.
-
- I don't suppose this will even get distributed in any case !
