I. Installation Instructions
This "Getting Started" diskette contains software that will enable
IBM/Compatible PC owners to gain access to MINITEL.

Place the "Getting Started" diskette in Drive A:, then type each of

The "INSTALL" program installs software onto your personal

installation diskette then you must put the installation diskette
in drive B: (drive A: is usually a 3.5 inch drive on the PS/2),
and issue the commands 'B:' and 'INSTALL' to get started (rather
than 'A:' and 'INSTALL').

II. Protocol Switching
Some services are being installed on the Minitel Kiosk which
utilize only TTY/VT100, or "scrolling ASCII," protocol. Also,
some gateways are being installed which use the TTY protocol.
For this reason, Minitel/PC now includes the ability to switch
from Minitel protocol to TTY protocol.
Press [Alt]+[O] at any time to switch to the [O]ther display
mode.
If a TTY service accessed from the Minitel gateway does not
change your emulator back to Minitel when you exit that service,
press [Alt]+[O] before pressing [Shift]+[F2] to return to the
Minitel gateway or [Shift]+[F3] to disconnect.
On a TTY gateway (such as several of the local telephone company
gateways), a Minitel service may not automatically switch back to
TTY protocol when you exit. If, when you return to the gateway,
text is displayed in 40-column format and does not scroll
properly, simply press [Alt]+[O] to change the display mode.
