A Resource About The Mature Adult and Plastic Surgery
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Advances in anesthesia and surgical techniques have made cosmetic plastic
surgery for adults over 50 safer than ever before. However there are
important medical considerations that every mature adult who is considering
aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery should be aware of. That is why the American
Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) has developed safety guidelines
for the over 50 patient. These guidelines, as well as other useful
information about aesthetic surgery, are included in a new brochure, "Getting
the Most Out of Life: Aesthetic Plastic Surgery for the Mature Adult". It
describes some of the techniques used in facial rejuvenation, redefining
facial features, and body contouring.
If you are considering such surgery in the near future, information of
this type can help you develop reasonable expectations for the outcome, and
make you aware of some of the preparation and precautions to take as you
deliberate your choices.
The booklet is available free of charge to anyone who calls the toll free
number, 1-800-635-0635, and requests a copy.
