A Resource About Living with Arthritis
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
May is National Arthritis Month and the Arthritis Foundation is
encouraging people to take advantage of the many services that can help you
maintain or even improve your quality of life, despite the pain and limited
movement arthritis may bring. Approximately 6 million Americans say they have
arthritis, but have never seen a doctor for treatment. Many people mistakenly
believe that arthritis is just something "you have to live with." But there
is much to be done and you can start now to become informed by obtaining the
Arthritis Foundation publication "Taking Charge: Learning to Live with
Arthritis". The brochure is available free of charge by calling the
Foundation's national toll free number 1-800-283-7800. You may also obtain
the brochure as well as additional authoritative information by writing to
Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 19000, Atlanta, GA 30326. The Arthritis
Foundation produces many, many helpful booklets and brochures with the goal of
improving the quality of life for those affected by arthritis.
