  22.      For reasons that I don't understand, my mail has been filled with
  23. questions about liver cirrhosis these days.  While it is not infrequent to
  24. find exactly three questions about a rare disease in a single bag of mail,
  25. this concern about the liver far exceeds that number.  And so as any good
  26. physician should, I located an appropriate brochure for all those concerned,
  27. and some of you who may just be interested.  My resource for such material is
  28. the American Liver Foundation, the only national voluntary agency dedicated to
  29. attacking liver diseases, the third leading disease-related cause of death in
  30. the 25-59 age group.  They have prepared a most informative brochure about
  31. cirrhosis that contains the answers to many of your questions.  With sections
  32. on the prevention, the complications and the treatment of cirrhosis, this
  33. publication may be complete enough for you, or perhaps just the beginning of
  34. your study, if you need more precise information.  You may obtain your free
  35. copy, by sending your request and a stamped, self addressed, envelope to
  36. "Cirrhosis", The American Liver Foundation, Cedar Grove, New Jersey 07009. You
  37. will be well rewarded.
