The exposure sheet, with a specialized drag and drop integrated editor, is the backbone of the system. Through it, all parts of production are linked and registered. In each step of production, Tic Tac Toon provides interactivity with dynamic line-tests or color previews in full resolution, synched to the soundtracks.
A storyboard can be scanned in, drawn directly in the system or imported from another computer system. Tic Tac Toon allows writers and directors to import a script or other information from their personal computer into the Tic Tac Toon system. The information is integrated into the storyboard process and can be used to plan any possible re-use of artwork. Pre-production has access to Tic Tac Toon's extensive database and management system.
The sound detection portion of Tic Tac Toon allows importation of
soundtracks and automatically detects phonetics and musical rhythms, thus
providing an automatic lip assignment reference to the animator. The
soundtrack is then positioned on the exposure sheet to achieve proper
sync.
