Graphics Server Features

Your High-End Graphing Solution
Graphics Server 5.0 now adds client-side and server-side graphing straight to your web pages. Add interactive graphs to the numerical data you are putting into your web pages - easily and simply. Use the ActiveX control for client-side control with Microsoft Internet Explorer or use the server-side capabilites to add 100% browser independence - I.E., Netscape / Windows, Mac and Unix.

Graphics Server is the easiest way to add sophisticated graphing support to your Windows, Windows NT and Windows 95 applications. Because it is built to support even the most high-end, mission-critical applications, Graphics Server offers much more than other graphing software -- multiple platforms, multiple hosts, multiple interfaces, the most extensive range of graphs, charts and statistical functions available, and much more.

Graphics Server 5.0 now comes as:

  • OCX - OLE Custom Control (16/32 bit)
  • DLL with property-based API (16/32 bit)
  • VBX - Visual Basic Custom Control (16 bit)
  • C++ class (16/32 bit) supporting Microsoft and Borland
  • Delphi VCL (16/32 bit)
  • DLL with function-based API (16/32 bit)
  • MS FoxPro FLL (16/32 bit)

...all in one package! You can use Graphics Server with:

  • Visual Basic
  • Access
  • C/C++
  • Delphi
  • FoxPro
  • SQLWindows

...and many other Windows host products. Whatever the platform, whatever the programming environment, Graphics Server provides the solution for integrated, interactive graphing and charting.

Code-Free Database Binding
For developers using Graphics Server's VBX or OCX, you can now bind your graphs directly to any database using Visual Basic's Data Control. Once a connection is made, it becomes fully data-aware and automatically updates itself each time the bound database is changed or modified.

Industrial-Strength Data Handling
Graphics Server is the only graphing toolkit for Windows built to support all of your graphing needs -- even in high-end industrial and engineering applications. Graphics Server's advanced data features let you chart up to 128,000 dynamic data points in a single graph; add curve-fitting, error bars, and trend lines to all log and linear graph variants; and even plot incoming data in real time. Other advanced statistical functions include:

  • Maximum, minimum, and mean
  • Standard deviation
  • Curve fitting on 10 polynomial models, including variable-order, logarithmic, spline, exponential, moving average, inverse, & more
  • Error bars in X and Y (fixed value, percent of data value, standard deviation, standard error of data, etc.)
  • Flexible missing data options
  • Fast-Fourier Transform
  • Box-whisker graphs
  • Limit lines

Complete Set of Graph Types
In addition to a standard array of 2-D and 3-D line, bar, and area graphs, Graphics Server gives you the power to plot data in:

  • Pareto graphs
  • Floating bar graphs
  • Surface graphs
  • Tape graphs
  • Time-series graphs
  • Candlestick graphs
  • Scatter graphs
  • Bubble graphs
  • Polar graphs
  • Log/lin graphs
  • Log/log graphs
  • Open-high-low-close ("Wall Street") graphs
  • Combination graphs (including line/line, area/line, bar/line, and more)

Complete Stylistic Control

Once you create a graph, Graphics Server gives you the stylistic control you need to achieve any appearance you want. You can control True 3-D graph placement, rotation, and perspective; customize fonts and format masks for legends, labels, titles and axis markers;add drop shadows, boxes, circles, grid lines, graphical backdrops, frames, and other graphical elements; and even control the color of any graph element from a complete 256-color palette. Graphics Server's interactive toolbar lets users customize and edit all graph elements at runtime, and version 5.0 also gives users the ability to save customized graph elements as templates for reuse with different sets of data.

Advanced Data Analysis
In addition to delivering industrial-strength graphing power and complete stylistic control, Graphics Server also provides advanced features for data presentation and analysis. End users have the ability to create interactive "hot graphs" with point-and-click access to secondary charts and statistical breakdowns, and version 5.0 now lets users select and "zoom in" on specific subsets of graphed data for finer data analysis.

16-bit and 32-bit Compatibility
Because Graphics Server ships with a 16-bit OCX, a 32-bit OCX, a 16-bit VBX, and a 32-bit graphing library, you can use this same powerful toolkit in your current Windows applications and your new 32-bit work. Graphics Server comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee so you can try it risk-free and see for yourself why it's trusted by over one million deve lopers worldwide.
