Delete
F8, Shift+F8
This command allows you to delete file(s) and directories.
The NCD Tree is updated when you use this command.
There are three ways you can use this command:
. You can delete the highlighted file/directory
. You can delete a group of files/directories that you've
marked with the Ins key or Select group and
Unselect group.
. Press Shift+F8 or hold down Shift when you select
Delete from the Files menu to specify the file
or group of files you want to delete.
The following Delete options are available:
. Include subdiretories: check to specify that sub-
directories and the files they contain are deleted.
. Use Filters: check to specify that only files which meet
the filter specification are deleted.
. Delete empty directories: check to specify that empty
directories are deleted. If this option is not checked,
the contents of directories are deleted, but the
directory structure is retained.
Read-only files:
If a file is marked as read-only, you are asked to
confirm the deletion.
Hint: To delete a group of read-only files, use the
File attributes command in the Files menu to clear
the read-only attribute.
Note: Choose the Filters button if you want to specify
filters to use with the Delete command.
