| On the root of this CD, you will find a directory called support_files. In this directory you will find the start files and textures for each Learning Maya lesson, as well as the completed project file.
Installation instructions: To install and use the tutorial lessons, you should complete the following steps:
Copy the complete support_files directory from the CD into your projects directory on your hard drive.
- On IRIX - The project directory can be found in your ~home/maya/projects directory.
- On NT - The project directory can be found under C:\Winnt\profiles\username\maya\projects directory. Note that this is a different location that it was for Maya NT Version 1.0.
When starting each project in Learning Maya, follow the instructions in the book for setting the appropriate directory as your active project.
Note: The project directories contain start files for many of the lessons in case you want to jump to that lesson. We recommend that you complete all lessons to see how Maya's tools integrate with each other, but the files have been included in case you need to jump ahead. |
