This instructor led course teaches animators, modelers and texture artists how to effectively use Maya to produce 3D polygonal games and other interactive applications, at an intermediate level.
With a focus on establishing sound workflow practices, clients will work on a variety of projects to explore relevant tools and their applications.
After successfully completing the Maya for Games course the student will:
- Have a good understanding of how the Maya polygon tools and architecture works
- Understand how to model objects, levels and characters using the polygon and NURBS tools in Maya
- Color and texture polygonal models
- Create skeletons and deformation controls for characters
- Animate characters and props using keyframes and expressions
- Apply motion capture data to a character
- Export data from Maya to a real-time system
