Text Options

Click a text object you have added to Twist. The editing panel will change to show you the options you can use to change the appearance of the text.

 

Click the Fill pull-down menu to choose how the text should be filled. You can fill text with a solid color, a gradient, or a file or pattern. See the Gradients and Fill with File or Pattern topics for more information about the options.

 

Click the First color box to choose a color for the text and select a color from the palette. You may also double-click the color box to see a color dialog.

 

Use the Font pull-down menu to choose a new font.

 

Use the Size slider to increase or decrease the font size.

 

Check the Bold and Italic boxes to change the style of the text.

 

Click one of the alignment buttons to determine how the text is aligned in the text object. The four options are align left, center, align right, and justify.

Click the Shadow button to apply a shadow to the text. Click the Edit button to see more shadow options.

 

Use the Opacity slider to change the opacity of the text. Move the slider to the right to make the text more opaque; move the slider to the left to make the text more transparent.

 

Use the Transform checkbox to show or hide the Transform handles. The Transform handles allow you to scale, rotate, and skew text.

 

Use the Fill Controls check box to show or hide the controls for gradients, files, and patterns.

 

You can also group text with other objects, align text with other objects, and more. Right-click a text object to see a contextual menu containing more options.
