Gradients

You can use a gradient to fill shapes and text. You can also use a gradient for the background of a drawing.

To add a basic gradient to a shape or a text object, click the object.

Click the Fill pull-down menu at the top of the editing panel and choose a gradient option.

You will see a gradient in the shape.

You can change the colors of a gradient.

Click the First Color box on the editing panel and choose a color from the palette. You may also double-click the color box to see a color dialog.

Click the Last Color box and choose a color from the palette.

You will see the shape fill with the gradient.

You will see triangular fill controls for the gradient on the shape.

One fill control shows the first color and one fill control shows the last color.

Click and drag each control to change how the gradient looks.
