If you are using Firefox, or some other web Browser other than Microsoft Internet Explorer you may occasionaly see this error - or something similar - when you click to install a program from this disc..

"InstallShieldEngine (ikernel.exe) could not be installed":

This is because the setup routine for this program is not contained in a single file. When you clicked Open (as is the case with Mozilla Firefox) your browser has first 'downloaded' the file to your hard drive, then tried to run it. Trouble is it only downloaded the setup.exe file to your PC without the rest of the program's installation files.

The simplest solution is to browse our cover disc using Internet Explorer. You don't have to change your default browser. Just run Internet Explorer, then go the "File" menu, select "Open", then "Browse", navigate to your DVD drive and then select and open the DEFAULT.HTM file. (You can add this to Internet Explorer's "Favourties" for future discs). Then, when you click on any "install" icon on our DVD, just choose "Run" and you won't have any problems.

If you prefer to use Firefox with our disc, the OpenDownload extension (from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/207) will allow you "Run" files from our cover disc, so you won't have any problems with programs that have multiple installation files.

A third workaround is to use My Computer to browse to the relevant folder on the DVD for any program you want to install, and simply double-click the setup file You will see where each program is on the disc by rolling you mouse over the '+' install icon which will display the path in the Status bar at the bottom of your browser.
