Marvellous macros

Recording a macro
You can create your own simple macros by recording your keystrokes as you complete a task. Here is how you can record a macro to insert a symbol into your document:

Step 1: Open a new blank document.

Step 2: Select Tools, Macro, Record New Macro.

Step 3: In the Macro Name text box type InsertCharacter, in the Store Macro In text box select 'All documents (Normal.dot)' and select OK.

Step 4: Select Insert, Symbol and locate the Font and symbol to use. Select the symbol and select Insert and then select Cancel.

Step 5: Select the Stop Recording button on the Stop Recording toolbar or select Tools, Macro, Stop Recording.

Step 6: You can now run your macro using Tools, Macro, Macros, select your macro's name and select Run.
