Creating XviD video files
1.
First of all, make sure you have installed VirtualDub,
XviD and the LAME
ACM codec. Once this is done, start up VirtualDub, then
hit File > Load and load the file that you want to convert.
2.
Next, hit <CTRL-P> to bring up the video compression window,
select the XviD MPEG4 codec and hit the Configure button. |
3.
Now set the Target Bitrate to your desired rate. We’ve
chosen 3000 here for a good-quality movie with reasonable compression.
Now hit OK twice. |
4.
Select the Audio tab and click on “full processing mode”.
Hit the Audio tab again and click on “compression”.
Click on “LAME MP3” and select your desired audio
bit rated in the right window. We’ve chosen the 128Kbps
option, as the best compromise between audio quality and file
size. Now hit OK.
5.
Choose the File menu, then Save as AVI, type in a filename,
hit OK and VirtualDub will now convert your video file into
an XviD/MP3 movie. It’s now ready for viewing in your
favourite media player. |
