Mozilla Thunderbird 0.9
As the email companion to the Firefox browser, Thunderbird is also
often covered by Rose Vines in her regular Internet guide. It's
easy to use yet flexible enough to satisfy all but the most demanding
email users and, despite not quite being an official 1.0 release,
it's remarkably stable. Thunderbird has comprehensive junk email
controls that are easy to implement. It has a stylish look, which
you can customise by choosing from a variety of different views
or by installing themes.
