Anyone remember the old 1970s
movie called ‘RollerBall’ starring James
Caan? Hyperblade uses a very similar premise in
that players fight it out in an arena on
rollerblades. The graphics are fast, detailed and
the action non-stop.

Road Rash may be a very shallow
and infantile game; but who’s complaining
when you can take part in high-speed, no-rules motorcycle
racing without worrying about getting hurt. Runs
a treat under Windows 95.

While it might lack some of the
niceties of real-time games, this is a defining
classic in the realm of true military
simulations. The swift flow of battle based on a
solid foundation of accurate unit statistics and
battle calculations, makes for a an extremely
good historical military simulation. --
