Warning: Developer Release Only

To install the Internet Explorer 4.0 Suite:

1. First decide which version of the Internet Explorer 4.0 Suite you wish to use (Browser Suite Only or Browser Suite with Shell Integration activated), and then click the link in the grey box on the download page.
2. From the drop-down box on the page that appears, select either "Browser Only" or "Browser + Integrated Shell" in the appropriate language version and click Next.
3. The final page provides a list of download locations from which you can get the Active Setup Wizard, which guides you through the download process. Find a location near you, and click to download the Active Setup Wizard.
4. When you are prompted, you can either Save the Active Setup Wizard to your local hard drive or Open it directly.
5. While still connected to the Internet, run the Active Setup Wizard by opening the ie4setupb.exe or ie4setupw.exe in your Internet Explorer 4.0 Setup folder. If you chose Open in the previous step, the ActiveSetup Wizard runs automatically.
6. Choose the configuration of Internet Explorer 4.0 that you would like to install (Standard, Enhanced, or Full). Then choose either to install Internet Explorer 4.0 directly or to download the files so you can perform the installation at a later time.
7. Setup then downloads and installs the items you requested.
8. Now you can run Internet Explorer 4.0!
