The Transform tab provides controls for moving, scaling, and rotating a DarkTree.

Transforms are applied in the following order:

Scale X
Scale Y
Scale Z
Rotate X
Rotate Y
Rotate Z
Move X
Move Y
Move Z

Use the trueSpace Axes Tool to view the axes of the object if you are unsure what axis to transform.

Move - Enter any value to move or translate the DarkTree in any direction. Most DarkTrees are 3-dimensional and change as you move in X, Y, and Z.

Scale - Enter a value greater than 1.0 to scale up or "stretch" a DarkTree along an axis. Enter a value between 0.00001 and 1.0 to scale down or "squeeze."

Rotate - Enter a value between 0 and 360 to rotate the DarkTree clockwise about an axis. Enter a value between 0 and -360 to rotate counterclockwise.

Texture Space

World Coordinates - This check box enables (checked) or disables the use of world coordinates for texture placement. When unchecked, object coordinates are used. The use of world coordinates causes the texture to change as the object moves.

UV Mapping - This check box enables (checked) or disables UV mapping. Enable this when you're working with tiled DarkTrees or organic shapes that are animated with bones.  When UV Mapping is selected, XY Move and Scale are replaced by UV Offset and Repts (repeats).  All Z transforms and all rotations are disabled.

Offset - UV offsets shift the area of the DarkTree that is tiled.  Enter a value between -1.0 and 1.0.
Repts - UV repeats control the scaling of the area of the DarkTree that is tiled by controlling the repetition of that area. Enter a value between 0 and 1.0 to zoom in. Enter a value greater than 1.0 to zoom out, that is, to cause the texture to repeat.

Use Texture Scale - DarkTrees can contain specific sizing information.  Enable (check) this flag to make your texture automatically scale to match the physical size of your 3D object.
