The Adjust tab provides controls for making global adjustments to a material and controlling an animated DarkTree.

Environment - The environment drop-down list controls what a reflective DarkTree surface reflects. When a fully-shaded DarkTree is loaded, the environment defaults to Main Surface. Fully-shaded DarkTrees contain environment information. Use Ray Tracing allows reflective DarkTrees to reflect actual scene data. When you select this option, be sure to select Enable Raytracing in the trueSpace Render Options tool bar as well.

Animate - Selecting Animate mode will synchronize an animated DarkTree with your animation in trueSpace on a frame by frame basis.

Offset - The Offset value shifts the relative position, in frames, of the material animation. A negative offset will delay the start of the material animation while a positive offset will cause the DarkTree to start later in its animation, that is, to start its animation at a frame number greater than its internal start frame.
Loop - When checked, Loop causes an animated DarkTree to repeat its animation for the length of the scene animation. With Loop unchecked (default), the DarkTree animates once to its conclusion.

Static - Static mode actually stops the material from animating. It lets you choose a specific point in an animated DarkTree to use for all frames of the scene animation.  The totality of the material animation is treated as a range from 0% to 100%.  For example, you have a metal texture that animates from new to rusty and you would like to have a static, slightly rusty material.  Fixed percent time would let you choose the level of rustiness, and maintain that level.

Static mode is also useful for keyframing the material animation using the Animate Texture tool bar available from the Material Editor.

% Time - Select a value between 0 and 100 to control the current frame of an animated DarkTree.

Camera Distance - The Near and Far threshold values are used for DarkTrees that vary based on their distance from the camera. If a material has some distance-based attributes, it should be mentioned in the material description on the Browse tab.  If there are no distance-based attributes in a DarkTree, these controls will have no effect.  The surface distance controls are generally intended for DarkTree users. See the DarkTree Notes for details.

NOTE: You must add a camera to the trueSpace scene and select Camera View from the View Select icons in the Screen View tool bar for distance-varying DarkTrees to render properly.
