Swirls

Reference
Index

SWIRLS is a swirling noise pattern.

How Does It Work?

SWIRLS has a single parameter, Roughness, that controls its look.  Increasing the Roughness parameter will make the patern swirl more.

Hints!

Try very low Roughness settings (1%-5%) and zoom out.

Common Parameters

Input Seed

The seed for the random number generator that is used to create the texture.

Roughness

The roughness or "swirlyness" of the pattern.

Brightness

The brightness level of the pattern. Higher values move the color toward High.

Contrast

The contrast or sharpness between the High and Low.

Blend Function

Blending control between High and Low.

Color Component Parameters

Low

The background color value.

High

The swirls color value.

Percent Component Parameters

Low

The background percent value.

High

The swirls percent value.

Bump Component Parameters

Low

The background bump elevation.

High

The swirls bump elevation.

Bump Scale

A scaling factor for the bump values.
