Scratches

Reference
Index

    Randomly placed scratch marks.

How Does It Work?

The Density parameter sets the number of scratches is a given area.  Scratches fade in as they are added.

The tips of the scratches taper off to a point The Taper parameter sets when the scratch begins to taper off. Small Taper values mean only the very ends of the scratch taper off.

The Curviness parameter sets how curved the scratches are. Set to 0% for straight scratches, 100% will result in circles.

The Align parameter sets the direction of the scratches. At 0%, the scratch direction is random.  At 100%, the scratches all line up.

Hints!

Try setting the Scratch Width to 100% and then vary the Curviness. you will get a totally different looking texture with these settings.
