Plasma

PLASMA is a noise pattern that looks like swirling plasma.

How Does It Work?

Plasma is a very simple noise that gives very smooth liquid results. The Roughness control makes the plasma twist up into a more turbulent pattern.

Hints!

This is a good general purpose noise for smooth, watery or fluidic effects.  The percent version can be used to control most things with good results.

Translating through this will give good swirling liquid effects.

Common Parameters

Input Seed

The seed for the random number generator that is used to create the texture.

Roughness

The roughness or turbulence of the pattern.

Brightness

The brightness level of the pattern. Higher values move the color toward High.

Contrast

The contrast or sharpness between the High and Low.

Blend Function

Blending control between High and Low.

Color Component Parameters

Low

The background color value.

High

The plasma color value.

Percent Component Parameters

Low

The background percent value.

High

The plasma percent value.

Bump Component Parameters

Low

The background bump elevation.

High

The plasma bump elevation.

Bump Scale

A scaling factor for the bump values.
