  ACE - Bullying
This section of the ACE site gives parents some very useful information and advice about bullying including links to the Department of Education and Skills, how to make a bullying report and how to write a letter of complaint. 
  
  Bullying Online
This is a big and accessible resource set up by the government to help counter bullying in schools. You can email them and they try to reply in 24 hours. There are pages for parents as well as young people. 
  
  CBBC News - Bullies
This is Newsround’s guide to bullying. It’s very readable for children and young people, including famous names who were bullied at school and details of organisations that can help. 
  
  Kids Health - Bullying
This part of the Kids Health website has some very useful information for parents on what to do if your child is being bullied, or is a bully. It links to more resources about raising your child’s self esteem. 
  
  Pupiline
This site is by and for pupils. The bullying section gives real life stories from others, some advice from other pupils, and links to some of the main sites about bullying. 
  
Get counselling
  BACP
This is the national body that accredits counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK. From the home page you can click to the database for finding a counsellor in your area. Descriptions of counsellors include any ‘specialisms.’ 
  
Know your rights on bullying
  Bullying Online - Legal Advice
This section of the government’s anti-bullying website has information about your legal rights in relation to bullying. You can also get help to write a letter about bullying, elsewhere on this excellent site. 
  
  Right Online
This is an excellent section of the Save the Children website that clearly details what rights children (anyone under 18) have according to the United Nations convention on the rights of the child. Informative, straightforward and easy to understand. 
  
Phone a help line
  Childline
ChildLine is the free, 24-hour helpline for children and young people in the UK. Advice and support about a wide range of issues from abuse and bullying to stepfamilies and stress. 
  
  The Samaritans
Possibly the best known telephone helpline. Click on the words in bold on this page to find out how to ring Samaritans, how to contact and visit your local branch to talk to someone in person, how to text them and how to email. 
  
Study or Research Bullying
  Kidscape
This is a well-known children’s charity that aims to keep children safe. There’s lots of information and advice on this site, including surveys and a page detailing some useful books on the subject. 
  
  The Anti-Bullying Network Scotland
This is a starting point for doing research on bullying. There are some useful links as well as information about the sort of questions to ask.
