Contact recruitment agencies
	Agency Central Whether you’re a potential employee or an employer in need of staff, this site can put you in touch with a large number of different employment agencies in the UK, covering a wide range of different industries. Also has a job search facility.
	Agency Search As the name suggests, you can use this site to search for appropriate agencies to supply you with employees or find you a good job. You can search by specific areas of the country, different industry sectors or keywords. A useful resource.
	Directory of Recruitment Sites A site designed for job seekers to provide clear and simple access to sites offering large numbers of job vacancies. You can see what areas of the world the agency operates in, how many vacancies are available on the site and what industries they cover.
	UK Recruiter Directory A good set of links to sites that offer huge directories of recruitment agencies in the UK. From these sites you can access details of thousands of different agencies, searchable in a number of different ways and covering most different industry sectors.
Get careers advice
	BBC Education - Job Advice Well organised and written advice about lots of different aspects of employment, from picking your first job to starting your own business. It is not a very in depth site but can point you in the right direction and provide some interesting ideas.
	Careers-UK This is the website of the Careers Service National Association website. On this site you can find out the contact details of your nearest careers office, so you can contact them for advice. Some careers services are now part of the Connexions Service.
	Doctor Job A good graduate careers site that provides careers advice and information about most different industries and types of employment. The site is easy to use and there are some good features like an experts forum and employers directories.
	Hobsons Careers Advice Very good careers site that is aimed principally at graduates. However, much of the advice and many of the resources and links are equally applicable to anyone wanting some careers advice or looking for information about getting a job.
	Learn - Careers Advice A good directory of some very good places on the web to find careers advice. Lots of sites that are aimed at all sorts of different people, from graduates or school leavers to anyone who is thinking of changing their existing job. A good resource.
	Monster Careers Centre Monster is a well known source of employment information. It is packed with useful resources and advice about finding a new job, changing careers and other important employment issues. You can also find expert advice on specific topics.
	Prospects This is the UK's official graduate careers service. You can access a wide range of services online including careers advice and help with finding jobs, postgraduate courses and work experience. Worth registering as lots of employers also view the site.

	British Libraries Online This site offers a list of all the online public libraries in the UK with links to each of them. It also includes information about other libraries, OPACs and national libraries. An excellent research resource.
	The Internet Public Library The Internet Public Library is an excellent resource. It is one of the first libraries for the internet community and is intended to discover the best ways for librarians to contribute to the web. There is a huge amount of information accessible here.
	UK Higher Education Libraries This site contains links to all of the university and research libraries in the UK, listed alphabetically. Most of these have searchable catalogues and will be extremely helpful in finding the source you need.
