Tool Bars

The IMS user interface provides 6 floating Tool Bars located by default along the Top, Left and Right margins. These tool bars can be dragged to any location and will automatically dock to the edge of the window. You can use the Set Toolbars Dialog located under the Tools menu to select Large Toolbars when working at high resolution or to turn the bars on and off.

File Bar:
is initially located along the top edge of the window. Use these buttons for loading and saving your projects in addition to exporting HTML and image bitmap files.

Page Bar:
is located to the left of the File Bar and is used to add, delete and move the pages in your project. In addition you can select background colors, bitmaps and music.

Object Bar:
is located below the File Bar. It displays the selected Object and its current components.

Preview Bar:
is located to the left of the Object Bar. These four buttons provide the ability to preview either the current page or your entire project as they would appear in either a v3.2 or v4.0 Browser.

Tools Bar:
located along the left edge of the window is used to create and edit the components of an Object. These include geometry, bitmaps, text, shading, mechanics(motion) and behaviors.

Align Bar:
located along the right edge of the screen is used to group objects and to help position an object on the page.
