This section explains how to create audio clips on A tracks, how to set audio parameters, and how to use the voice over function.
You can use filters to apply special effects to audio clips.
For details, see
"Applying Effects to Clips".
See "Audio Filters" in "Appendix" of the reference manual for more information about the features and properties of the filters provided for audio.
Placing audio clips on A tracks
Audio clips on VA tracks are always placed at the same time as video clips. When defining clips in source data, you can offset the positions of the video and audio clips, but you cannot move, delete, or trim them separately once they are placed on VA tracks.
By contrast, clips on the A tracks can be handled separately from video clips.
To place audio clips on the A tracks, use one of the following methods.
- Select an A track and use the EDIT Overwrite/Insert buttons or Capture button to place a clip.
- Drag an audio clip from a VA track to an A track.
- Cut or copy an audio clip on a VA track and paste it on an A track.
- Drag an audio clip or AVI clip from the Bin window to an A track.
- Use the voice over function (See "Adding audio clips with the voice over function").
