Fastest plane boarding by window seats first

Information from an item by Jonathan Dahl in The Wall Street Journal (Sept 13th '94) monitored for the Institute by Roger Knights.

A 737 jet shuttle can be filled with passengers in 11.5 minutes, one or two minutes faster than the best previously achieved time, by getting passengers to board by window seats first, middle seats next and aisle seats last.

United Airlines's Shuttle in the States is using this method, which avoids having people climb over each other.
