Modbus Server Installation Overview

Install the hardware.

Install the appropriate version of PortVision Plus for your operating system and configure the network information.

Note If you have previously installed PortVision Plus you may want to verify that you are running the latest version. PortVision Plus is continuously updated with new features and added support for the latest hardware model releases.

Upload Modbus Server on the DeviceMaster UP or check the version if the DeviceMaster UP was previously uploaded with Modbus Server.

Note SocketServer is the default application loaded on the DeviceMaster UP from the factory. You must upload Modbus Server for it to be operational.

Optionally, install a COM port redirector if you require COM port support. You can download and install the Comtrol serial port redirector for Windows.

Configure the DeviceMaster UP port characteristics for your environment using the embedded web pages on the DeviceMaster UP.
