Well, that's exactly what I used to get...

I've got the fan power thing, but it does sound like an overheating problem to
me - i had the exact symptoms - to fix get powerful fan (the one i use is off
a pentium heatsink) and mount it directly behind the weedy little fan on the
board.

My 200w psu handled, hard/floppy/zip/cdrom drive, kywalda etc etc...
