Creating the Database grid

The second grid is complete. Now create a similar grid, for the data tier, using Observer Reporting Server’s copy and paste function and modifying the copy.

1.	Right-click the Stations grid and select Paste. The Grid Setup window appears, allowing you to modify the copied grid.

2.	In the Grid Element Title box, type Database.

3.	Select the Grid Row Filters tab.

4.	Select the HTTP grid row, and click Edit Grid Row Filter.

5.	Type MySQL for the Row Name.

6.	Select Application Name, and click Edit Filter.

7.	Select MySQL from the list, and click OK.

8.	Select Server IP Address, and click Edit Filter.

9.	Change the Range to Single Address.

10.	In the Address box, type 10.10.0.209, and click OK. This IP address is the example MySQL server on the example local subnet.

11.	Click OK, and click OK again to confirm your changes. The grid is successfully added to your report, and you return to the Report Setup window. Your report now appears similar to Figure 9.

12.	Click OK to save your report.

13.	You successfully finished the tutorial. View your report by choosing File > Start Report in Web Browser.

You now have a complete report. The report consists of two graphs showing worst round-trip times, one for clients and one for servers., a table showing a blend of both (which includes a sub-report), and three grids representing a multi-tier architecture.
