Date: 6/5/1998 Info: The United Nations is compiling an Atlas of Student Action for the Planet (ASAP) as part of its observance of World Environment Day, 5 June 1998. The atlas will contain a list and description of projects carried out by students around the world. The atlas is intended to serve as a point of reference and inspiration. The UN is interested in what schools or community groups are doing to protect the environment. The lessons they have learned, the solutions they have devised, the problems they have encountered, are of interest to other schools and groups around the world, as they might be facing similar problems.
