As a home-based teleworker and parent of two homeschooled boys, I understand the educational value of web resources. Our website Homework Helper Hyperlinks began as a family project and has grown into a library of valuable links.
Following university studies in sociology, psychology, Canadian history, media studies and an internship as media researcher and executive aide at a telecommunications firm, I developed a keen interest in online possibilities. I created The Universal Knowledge Factory in 1993 as an information service. The company has developed to make use of Internet growth and the emergence of the World Wide Web.
The Web has brought a world of science resources. I plan to encourage kids of all ages to delight in the frontiers of their world. Each week a new theme will be explored through sharing timely news, journeys, puzzles and projects. Sharing is the key issue. This will be the place where kids can share their ideas, best sites, and time with their parents and teachers.
