Worm HotelDateline: 05/15/98 A worm is a very small animal without legs. It gets around by using muscles and tiny bristles. Earthworms live in burrows in the ground; they don't like daylight and they REALLY don't like robins! To collect worms for your worm hotel you will be able to find them much easier on a rainy day. Worms come out at night, you can easily find them at night in your backyard by using a flashlight and scooping them up quickly. In the daytime you must dig for worms in the soil using a shovel. This is because they stay in their homes in the ground during the daylight hours. If you want a very easy way to find your worms you can buy a supply from a fishing bait shop. supplies
