This week we will look at three species which
are being affected by the environment.
Pandas
Conservation of Pandas
Whatever the number of pandas surviving in the wild, it is quite
clear that the giant panda will become extinct in the next
century unless more steps are taken to protect its habitat.

Tigers
Threats
At the beginning of this century it is estimated that there were
100,00 wild tigers, today the number is less than 8,000. Simply
put, tigers are disappearing in the wild. The main threats to
tigers are poaching, habitat loss and population fragmentation.

Frogs
Goliath Frog
The goliath is the world's largest frog; its body can be more

often more than two and a half feet. The goliath is threatened
through habitat loss, deforestation, dam building, and private
collectors.
