Endangered Species
Dateline: 05/10/97
In the United States alone there are over 1,000 species of plants and animals that are listed under U.S. law as endangered or threatened. Many species are in danger because their habitat is being ruined. There are laws against buying endangered species products, but there is still trade involving endangered species. You can help prevent unlawful trade by learning more about endangered species and sharing this knowledge with others.
