• 1 clear plastic drinking cup
• 1 sheet of paper towel about 3 inches (7 cm) wide
• cotton balls
• bean seeds (the planting kind, not the cooking)
• water

Get Ready to Plant

• 1. Put the paper towel around the inside of the cup.
• 2. Fill the cup with cotton balls.
• 3. Add enough water to the cup so that the cotton is damp, but not too wet.
• 4. Put the seeds in the cup, between the paper towel and the plastic.
• 5. Put in a sunny window.
• 6. Keep the cotton damp at all times.
