EE School - Organisation

Nowadays the School of Electrical Engineering has around 170 faculty including teaching and research assistants. Among the faculty over 50% have Ph.D. The faculty is organized into 10 academic departments and one interdisciplinary group:

  -     Power systems
  -     Power electronics and drives
  -     Electronics
  -     Telecommunications
  -     Computer engineering
  -     Control
  -     Microelectronics and engineering physics
  -     Electrical engineering fundamentals
  -     Mathematics
  -     Material science
  -     General education

Within the departments 28 labs for research and teaching activities have been developed.

In addition the School has Computer center with several computers linked into the network supporting over 100 terminals as well as PC- s which are spread throughout the School. The computer facilities operate round the clock offering services to the faculty, students and staff

The main activities in the EE school focus on the undergraduate and graduate studies as well as research programs funded by science foundations or by industry.
