The MS degree requirement
Enrollment in the MS program
- The MS graduate studies are directly opened to all Electrical
engineers having the
- average grade on the graduate level above 8. If
the student has the average grade less than 8 he or she is required to
pass two additional exams. In addition certain curricula are also
open for students having degree in some other area of engineering or
mathematics, providing that they pass three additional exams.
-
By the end of each academic year the open competition for a given
number of students
- in the first year of graduate studies is
announced. Typically the EE School enrolls around 200 students. The
number of foreign students is not limited.
-
The applicant is requested to submit the degree certificate together
with the exams
- record, short curriculum vitae and list of references. If
the number of applications is greater than the number of available
places the applicants are ranked by the average grade.
-
All the students enrolled in the MS program are considered to be
part-time students
- so that the lectures are organized during the
evening. During the work on the thesis the student is entitled to an
advisor.
Foreign citizens
- With the application for the enrollment in the first year of MS
graduate studies the
- foreign citizens are required to submit:
- the original of the degree certificate and exams record together with
- the verified translation
- the short curriculum vitae and list of references
- documents confirming health insurance
- Foreign citizens can complete their studies either in Serbian or in
English language.
Ph.D. Program
- The School offers the Ph.D. degree in Engineering sciences. However,
there are no
- organized curricula for the Ph.D. degree. The only
requirement is a written Ph.D. thesis in which the candidate presents
an original theoretical result which presents a serious scientific
contribution to a certain area.
-
In order to start working toward the Ph.D. degree the candidate has to
propose the
- subject which is then evaluated by the appointed board. If
the proposition is accepted the board will appoint an advisor.
- On average, 10 to 15 candidates are awarded annually this highest
academic degree.
