Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure. A special feature brought to you by Microsoft Software
To determine year 2000 readiness, you will want to consider both the operating system and important software programs (applications) on which you rely.

Investigate (Operating System)
You will need to know which operating system and version your PC is running. To learn which Microsoft Windows operating system you have and the exact version of it, do one of the following:
  • For Windows 98, Windows 95, and Windows NT, the exact version number is listed directly below "Microsoft Windows XX" on the General tab of the System Control Panel.
  • Or run the Microsoft Product Analyzer.
If your personal computer uses a non-Microsoft operating system, you will need to contact the manufacturer of that software to learn more about its readiness for the year 2000.
