Warning!

Liberia was more or less wasted during seven years of savage civil war, and the security situation remains unstable. The country's human rights abuses are a subject of concern for watchdog agencies like Amnesty International, and Liberians' civil rights aren't faring much better. Until the streets once again become safe and the tourism infrastructure is rebuilt, travel to Liberia probably poses more personal safety risks than it's worth.
