Edit photos - Adjust

edits Edit and repair photos, fix red eye, enhance, crop, adjust and add special effects.

  1. Click on an album name or connected removable storage device.
    Note. You cannot edit photos that are located on CD/DVD.
  2. Click “Edit” to open the “Edit image” window.
  3. Thumbnails strip:
    1. Add images manually by dragging them from “My computer“, albums, internet sites or connected removable storage devices into the thumbnails strip.
    2. Add an image by clicking the “Open image” button, browse your computer to select an image and click the “OK” button.
    3. Add all the images in an album by clicking the “Select album” button, then select an album from the list and click the “OK” button.
  4. Click on a thumbnail to select photo for editing.
  5. Use the zoom image slider to slide to the right or left to enlarge or reduce image size.
  6. Adjust your photos - see “Adjust options“.
  7. Select “Reset all” to undo all the changes.
  8. Select “Save as” to save the changes to a new file location on the computer.
  9. Select “Save” to save the changes to the current file location on the computer.

Adjust options:

Enhance

  1. Click “Enhance” to automatically correct the contrast and the color balance of the image.

Red Eye

  1. Click “Red Eye” to correct red eye in the photo.
  2. Move the “Box” outlined in white over an area that has a “red eye.”
  3. Resize the box until it only has the “red eye” inside of it.
  4. Select “Apply” to change and to make the correction.
  5. Repeat step 3 and 4 until all red eyes have been corrected.
    Note: The “Apply/Cancel” bar can be dragged across the window.

Crop

  1. Click “Crop” to crop image to needed size.
  2. Move the “Box” outlined in white over an area that you want to crop.
  3. Resize the box to the size you want.
  4. Select “Apply” to crop the photo.

Resize Image

  1. Click “Resize” to change image size.
  2. Type the number you want into one of the fields, either the “Width” or “Height“. The other field gets adjusted automatically to maintain the photo’s aspect ratio.
  3. Click “OK” to change the photo.

Brightness

  1. Move the “Brightness” slider to the left to lighten the image or move slider to the right to darken the image.

Contrast

  1. Move the “Contrast” slider to the left to reduce the contrast in the image or to the right to increase the contrast.

Saturation

  1. Move the “Saturation” slider to adjust the saturation or the intensity of color in a picture. Move slider to the left to reduce the saturation density and to the right to increase it.

Temperature

  1. Move the “Temperature” slider to adjust color temperature of the image from warmest to coolest. Move slider to the left to increase color temperature and to the right to reduce it.

Tint

  1. Move the “Tint” slider to alter the image’s color information. Move slider to the left to increase red tones and lessen the amount of green. Move slider to the left to increase green tones and lessen the amount of red.

Straighten

  1. Move the “Straighten” slider to the left to straighten the image to the left and to the right to straighten it to the right.

Sharpen

  1. Move the “Sharpen” slider to the left to blur the image to the right to sharpen the image.

Effects

  1. Add special effects to create charcoal drawing, negate (negative), oil paint, wave, texturize, emboss, grey scale and sepia effects. Select the effect you want from the effects drop down menu.

Rotate photo

  1. Rotate photo 90 degrees to the left or to the right.

Flip photo

  1. Flip photo horizontally or vertically.
