Time to recognize the efforts of an individual or handful of individuals within the group who have gone the extra step to make their presence felt, not merely hanging on but actually pushing the group to new and better extremes. Recognizing these qualities by awarding them with an ugly piece of ANSI from the past which never passed quality control, most likely forgotten by most and still haunting the nightmares of the others, that is. With that in mind, I'd like to award the fabulous ACE DUCK award to the following people for their efforts in mist since the last awarding session: ..... neophyte of mistigris ..... ........ ....... Happyfish! For continuing excellence in setting up under crisis situation and maintaining most excellently our current WHQ, The Jade Monkey? She also coded this mag. Well, arranged it. We'll give Eerie! (most recently of Rile) the award too, for having written B. EXE, the scripting program that made this mag (and our Blender #30 entry) possible. He's got more impressive credentials on his resume, but none so ducky. Maurik? For all around good-net-hosting behavior, especially under the same crisis situation where it was vital, as well as important feedback regarding the web page and other political and PR aspects of Mistigris. Also for staying crunchy in milk. land i boy ! For bringing Mist to the number one spot in the Blender rankings within two and a half months while simultaneously filling the void left in our music division since the extended vacation of The Pope. Not only that, but he also makes julienned fries! Tincat! For bringing to our ANSI department a puissance, style and attitude not seen since the days of Nitnatsnoc and Diamond Traveller. He also brought a boatload of refugees who we have hard at work making Mistigris souvenir items for substandard wages. Silent Knight! For managing, with the help of Mistigris members, to realize the concept of Dream Factory and bring it to life, as well as rounding up the talent neccessary for the creation of Armada web design. also 'cause he wears a Dick Tracey (tm) hat. Neophyte! For the most reasons of all, and for none in particular. For having made an effort to become not only an outstanding member within Mistigris itself, taking on the portfolios of ANSI, writing and music and still asking for more tasks, but for having become an outstanding member of the scene at large, coming into his own in his many fields in Mistigris and also in Lazarus and whichever other projects he dabbles in, like Omlette. But especially for eating his Brussels sprouts. He also drew the Ace Duck over a year ago, but we won't hold that against him. And last but not least ... Dieznyik! Mindcrime! Eerie! Misfit! Radical! Inazone! Halaster! God Among Lice! Is! Xypher Matrix! Carnifex! Ewheat! Napalm! Anubis? Weird! These people all get honourary Order of the Duck awards for agreeing to help Mistigris in our year- long touring activity. We didn't manage to join up with all of your groups, some because of time contraints and others because the group died before we got a chance to visit you, but the order and the civility with which you attempted to help us with our dream were noted and rewarded with this cheezy ansi award.
