Labels:text | screenshot | font | graphic design | logo | graphics OCR: This article, written by Schtroumpf of Cenobite, originally appeared in Lo-Res Issue #5, edited by Dieznyik, but we decided that it was relevant of a reprint in this issue of Kithe. schtroumpf here, on behalf of cenobite and the entire lit scene. after months of calm, civilized, and debative discussion with several acid seniors, it is obvious to us that acid has no intension of reversing their ban on literature on ftp.cdrom.com. just as adolf hitler felt he had the right to decide for everybody which people were deemed "acceptable" and which were not, these acid seniors, in a similar way, declared that literature is just not acceptable. rather than simply saying that they do not enjoy it, these acid seniors have taken it upon themselves to try to ban literature in the artscene altogether . make no mistake about it; they dictate which artpacks may stay on a supposedly "public" ftp site. on behalf of every literature artist in today's artscene, i have something to say to acid: IT'S ON NOW. here's our view. exposed ? shocking ! revealing? ..... blazemore national socialist acid artists' party acid nazi party's infamous nuremburg literature laws. law #1 - literature is inferior to the superior art of acid productions. therefore, lit is banned from ftp.cdrom.com. law #2 - all lit artists on internet relay chat (irc) must put "^lit" at the end of their nick, to be identified by all superior artists. law #3 - new lit groups in today's artscene will create a "domino effect", like that of communism, within our superior artgroups! all superior groups are hereby ordered to release all lit artists. lists of the groups that contain or promote lit will be printed for all to read and harass! law #4 - lit groups will not be permitted to release art of the superior kind in any of their inferior collections. we must purify the superior forms of art, and denounce all others! law #5 - chatting on irc between "lits" and those who create art of the superior kind is completely forbidden. it will not be tolerated! law #6 - "lits" are forbidden from possessing and viewing artpacks of the superior kind. they may only procure art from their own inferior kind, or they will contaminate our glorious and superior aryian art and forms of expression! - signed by chancellor adolf shivan and president radmanburg this is happening with several forms of art. many groups are also banned, acid's version of artscene censorship. modding is one example of this. i for one am not a big fan of modding, but i don't denounce it as a creditable form of art. besides, why did the artscene start? to improve up the appearance of the bulletin board, of course. that is exactly what modding is, and yet it is completely unwanted and unwelcome on ftp.cdrom .com. with this kind of attitude, in combination with the fact that acid's latest release contained only two ansi files, will ansi be the next victim? vga seems to be the thing of the future, and if acid likes it, then the whole scene should love it. right? - schtroumpf Schtroumpf is a lit writer and the founder, and leader, of first-rank lit group Cenobite.
